Another version of the online reporting that some schools are now considering either in addition to, or as a replacement of conventional printed reports.
From The Desert Sun:
Parents whose children attend middle or high school classes at Palm Springs Unified School District now can track their child’s progress with a new Web application called ParentConnect.
ParentConnect gives data on a student’s classroom attendance, lists course assignments and provides progress reports and report cards that can be accessed day or night. Desert Sands Unified School District already offers a similar service, Home Access Center, which allows parents and students to view student registration, scheduling, attendance,
assignments and grades.
Parental involvement in their child’s education is a proven method of improving student performance. But making a number of phone calls to various teachers is a tough
assignment for most busy, harried parents. Now with one click of the mouse, parents can find out all they need to know.
